Special Meeting for Planning Purposes Minutes – August 2, 2011

 

 

The Board of Directors of the Southern Fulton School District met for a special meeting for planning purposes at 7:31 p.m. on Tuesday, August 2, 2011, in the library of the high school at Warfordsburg. The following members were present:

 

Kenneth Wuertenberg, Patrick Bard, Dwight Bard, Allen Morton, Timothy Mellott, and Donald Whiteside.

 

Also present were Kendra Trail, superintendent and Michael Shaw, facilities manager.

 

Visitors present were: Chanin Mountz from Fulton County News and Russell Newbold from Honeywell.

 

1.      The meeting was opened with prayer by Mr. Timothy Mellott and the Pledge of Allegiance led by Mr. Kenneth Wuertenberg.

 

2.      There was no student recognition. 

 

3.      Presentations: Russell Newbold from Honeywell presented energy saving information to the board.

 

Danny Crouse arrived at 7:45.

 

4.      There was no citizens’ participation.

 

5.      A motion was made by Mr. Dwight Bard and seconded by Mr. Patrick Bard to authorize the administration to replace the air conditioning system at the elementary school at a cost not to exceed $75,000.00.

6.      A motion was made by Mr. Dwight Bard and seconded by Mr. Timothy Mellott to go into executive session for the purpose of negotiations.

        “7” yes “0” members no. Motion carried.

 

7.      A motion was made by Mr. Donald Whiteside and seconded by Mr. Dwight Bard to adjourn the meeting. VOICE VOTE, All in Favor.  Motion carried. 

 

 

The meeting adjourned at 9:27 p.m.

 

At this time a walkthrough was conducted of the high school building.
